Important things to avoid doing with your CBD

Important things to avoid doing with your CBD

It is very common with CBD use that people, notice the hype, and see the success it has had for others; and throw all their money at it; without doing their research.

CBD has multiple benefits for your health and wellness routine, but to get the best out of it; there are some common DO’s and Don’ts you should be aware of. We have collated some of the basics to ensure you are clued up on everything CBD.

What to Avoid

Not doing your own ResearchIt is always good to know what you are buying. There are many types of CBD from broad-spectrum options which have very few other cannabidiols in them to CBD isolate which is pure CBD which is 100% THC free.

Failing to check the quality of the productWith the growth in popularity of CBD, many bogus companies have sprung up offering inferior quality products. Often, these brands with use harmful extraction processes as they are cheaper, but this means the quality of the product and the amount of CBD in it is significantly lessened. It is important again, to do your research on both the product and brand you are buying it from. You can check for things like lab reports and up to date safety certificate to ensure you’re getting what you paid for.

Not consulting your Doctor its safety with other medication - CBD can sometimes trigger other medications and prescription drugs you may be taking. If you are on regular prescription drugs it is essential you consult your Doctor before taking CBD alongside your regular medication.

Using the wrong strength – CBD comes in many different strengths and the amount and potency you need depends on a number of biological factors including your weight, diet even sex. Finding the correct dosage is somewhat trial and error when you are just starting out. We always advise to start with the minimum recommended dose and work from there.

Not Checking the contents of Vape liquids -  Vaping is one of the most popular and quickest ways people can take CBD. With the boom in vaping there are countless Cannabis and CBD liquids on the market claiming they are the best. It is easy to avoid checking the ingredients of a e-liquid as you assume you are not ingesting it. But breathing in harmful chemicals is as dangerous as ingesting them. Many dodge brands looking for a profit will lace the CBD vape liquid with harmful thickeners and unnecessary oils that can build up and begin to irritate the lungs. Research is important, always look for a full ingredients list.

Not Checking CBD topicals - Similar to choosing a safe Vape liquid, choosing the right CBD cream or CBD balm for your skin is essential. If you have sensitive skin you may want to avoid CBD creams that have added perfumes and fragrances. Also a common type of cosmetic preservative is parabens. High levels of parabens have been shown to disrupt hormone production. Again, checking the ingredients will give you the confidence in the product you are picking.
